Spartan Poker’s IOPC July Edition received an enormously welcoming response among the poker enthusiasts and was a huge success. Now that it’s done and the official champion has been crowned, here is a quick recap to take you down the memory lane:
The magnum opus of the series The 3 Crores GTD IOPC Main Event: The Crown was one of the most traffic garnering events. With 4081 entries across eight starting flights, IOPC Main Event promised a whopping Rs.4.08 crore in the guaranteed prize pool. This is the first-ever series where such a huge amount was being rewarded in the series history. However, the crown for the highest reward still stands with PokerBaazi’s End Boss 5 Crores GTD which after 5847 entries managed to pull in Rs.5.85 crores in the guaranteed prize pool.
Running past its fierce competition Kanpur based entrepreneur, Harshit Sanghi flipped the tourney in his favour by striking a three-way deal with Kunal Bhatia and Sumit Sapra where they added Rs.47.33 lakhs, Rs.42.36 lakhs, and Rs.32.20 lakhs to their bankrolls respectively. Harshit ultimately took the title and was rewarded with the crown, literally!
Joining the victory party was Poker Coach Prabhat Kiran Mukherjea(who came 6th and took home Rs.10.85 lakhs), and Madan Kumar(who took the 9th spot and banked Rs.4.88 lakhs).
Apart from the Main Event: The Crown, there were other IOPC Tourneys on the list as well.
The 60 Lakhs GTD IOPC Sunday Superstack with Rs.5500 buy-ins
The tourney fell victim of a whopping Rs.80000 overlay despite pulling-in 1184 entries. Running past its fierce competition, ‘Rolling1’ championed the event and banked Rs.11.30 lakhs while ‘Goldspot’ became the first runner-up taking home Rs.6.87 lakhs. Sriharsha Doddapaneni was also aiming for the title but unfortunately had to settle at the 5 th rank with Rs.2.88 lakhs.
The 15 Lakhs GTD IOPC Big Daddy
This was the next tourney on the schedule which ended by a three-way deal between Sathish Ananth, Sujith Kumar, and ‘ConMan’ with them taking home Rs.2.18 lakhs, 1.99 lakhs and 1.86 lakhs respectively.

Leading the leaderboard is Bhanu Prakash who garnered 16296 points to win Rs.50 lakhs in bonus money apart from his already won share from the series. Deepak Bothra proudly stands at the second spot with 15512 points taking home Rs.20 lakhs and ‘bluffer’ taking the third spot for 14368 points and adding Rs.10 lakhs to his current bankroll.
The IOPC July edition was a huge success that pulled in the most traffic, which even led to overlays at other poker tournaments. It was surely a treat to witness.
