Thursday Updates: Sangahi, Sharma, Doddapaneni, Suri & Ahuja Shines As Champions

With Thursday, the digital doors of poker exploded with massive poker tournaments lined up back to back at almost every primary poker site. From the arrival of IOPC at Spartan Poker to PokerBaazi’s PMVS and not to forget the Adda52’s AOPS.

Here is the full scoop on what went down and how?

Spartan Poker

Thursday witnessed the brisk start of IOPC that promises 25 crores GTD. And the biggest tourney that received an enormous response on the first day was the 35 Lakhs GTD Ultron. With 1048 entries investing Rs.4400 buy-ins, the guarantee was crushed beyond limits. Anurag Sangahi championed the tourney defeating ‘GODSENT’ at the final green table. Anurag took the most significant piece of cake, I.e., he won Rs.7.93 lakhs whereas GODSENT took home Rs.4.85 lakhs.

Another tourney on the schedule was IOPC Event #6 which promised Rs.15 lakhs in the guarantee. The tourney managed to receive 715 entries. Anish Suri banked the title along with Rs.3 lakhs by entering in a three-way deal with Zarvan Tumboli(came 2nd and banked Rs.2.90 lakhs) and ‘Armitrage’(came 3rd and banked Rs.2.75 lakhs)

PokerBaazi

The star tourney on PokerBaazi last night was the 20 lakhs GTD PMVS Event #8 HR Summit which managed to garner 295 entries smashing the guarantee up to Rs.22.13 lakhs. Topping the field, Sriharsha Doddapaneni took home Rs.4.89 lakhs. Sumit Sapra came a close second and took home Rs.3.43 lakhs.

Another highlight flagship of the day was 10 lakhs GTD PMVS #9 MegaStack which registered 300 entries. Sandy Lamba managed to flip the tourney in his favour by defeating Naman Bohra(won Rs.1.55 lakhs) and took home Rs.2.21 lakhs.

Adda52

With the arrival of IOPC, Adda52 suffered a significant traffic drop last night.

The 40 lakhs GTD AOPS Godfather fell short of Rs. 5 lakh in guaranteed prize pool despite receiving 700 entries. ‘bluechipp’ managed to swoop the title in his favour along with Rs.10 lakhs. ‘GiggaBet’ came close second and took along Rs.5.80 lakhs.

Another tourney that managed to garner only132 entries was 20 lakhs GTD AOPS PLO High Roller. Hence the site had to fill in an overlay of Rs.2.18 lakhs in the guarantee. Gaurav Sharma defeated Chirag Sodha(won Rs. 4.10 lakhs) at the final table and banked Rs.4.99 lakhs.

PokerStars India

Their usually successful Thursday tourney the 15 Lakh GTD Highroller suffered an overlay of Rs.2.05 lakhs despite pulling in 185 entries. Ashish Ahuja(won Rs.2.98 lakhs) managed to shine at this tourney defeating Ujjwal Narwal (won Rs. 2.22 lakhs) in an intensive heads up game.
