Tuesday Updates: Shah, Dua, Mehrotra, Dembla, Bang & Kejriwal Emerged as Champions

Tuesday witnessed a traffic blast on all major sites with Spartan Poker’s ₹25 Crores GTD IOPC July edition, PokerBaazi’s IMPS series, and Adda52`s APF series currently on their peak.

Here is the full scoop on what all went down in the Indian poker circuit last night and how:

Spartan Poker

With IOPC on its peak at Spartan Poker last night at the 3 crores GTD IOPC Main Event: The Crown witnessed new 387 entries on the second flight. To finalize, only 110 players ranked up to Day 2. ‘AkqA’ built the biggest chip stack castle comprising 309958 chips. Apart from him, Gokul Raj(284986 chips) and ‘UGOTBLUFF’(237256 chips) had the biggest chip stacks stacked in front of them by the end of Day1B. Day 1C will begin today at sharp 6 pm.

Another highlight flagship on the schedule was the 35 lakhs GTD Mega Stack with Rs.3300 buy-ins. After registering 1238 entries, flagship slowly and comfortably walked past its advertised guarantee to reach Rs.37.14 lakhs. Finally, after 9 hours of grinding, Avadh Shah took down the title leaving behind Puneet Dua where the former took home Rs.5.80 lakhs, and the latter added Rs.5.45 lakhs to his bankroll.

The next tourney that managed to attract 930 entries was the 12 lakhs GTD IOPC #87. ‘HerMess’ captured the title along with Rs.2.68 lakhs after defeating Aman Kejriwal (came second and took home Rs.1.68 lakhs) in a heads-up chop.

PokerBaazi

PokerBaazi hosted its 15 lakhs GTD Endeavour last night which successfully roped in 421 entries and yet still suffered an overlay of Rs.26,500. ‘Iamfish’ defeated ‘Dawn’ in an intense heads-up battle and added Rs.3.02 lakhs to his bankroll. ‘Dwan’ came in close second and added Rs.2.11 lakhs to his bankroll.

Adda52

Continuing with Day 5 of the APF series, the 20 lakhs GTD APF was right on schedule. After logging in 525 entries, the site had to fill an overlay of Rs.1.62 lakhs. The outcome resulted in Sanat Mehrotra defeating Sajjan Barnwal(came second and took home Rs.2.80 lakhs) to win Rs.4.80 lakhs.

PokerStars India

PokerStars India still religiously followed its overlay tradition at the 8 lakhs GTD Sixth Sense. Despite Rs.3300 buy-ins from 221 entries, the site was left with Rs.1.37 lakhs worth of overlay to fill. Finally, the nail-biting moment came when the top three contenders struck a three-way deal among them. As per the agreed arrangement, Harsh Dembla took down the title along with Rs.1.08 lakhs and Srihari Bang took the biggest piece of Rs.1.20 lakhs while ‘rudra3220’ had to be satisfied with the third spot and Rs.1.04 lakhs added to his bankroll.
