Poker Rules: How to play Omaha Poker and Omaha Hi Lo

By Dheeraj Singh

Omaha Poker is the most popular poker variant after Texas Hold’em in the current times. Omaha poker is pretty similar to Texas Hold’em and has two variations – Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo.

How to play Omaha Poker:

The main difference between Omaha and Texas Hold’em is in hole cards. In Hold’em each player is dealt two hole cards whereas in Omaha each player is dealt four hole cards. Also, each player must use two of their hole cards along with three of the five community cards in order to make their five-card poker hands.

How many players can play: 2-10

Hole Cards: The four cards dealt face down at the start of the game

Flop: The first card dealt face up

Turn: The card dealt after the flop
