2020 WSOP Online: Joon Kim Champions Event #7: $800 NLH Knockout Deepstack For $103K

It’s been a week since the internet was greeted by the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) 2020 and every single day, after hours of grilling battle, we get a new winner. The same was the case yesterday. Joon Kim managed to win the bracelet and flip the title by competing against 989 players to champion the Event #7 $800 No-Limit Hold’em Knockout Deepstack. This time the tourney generated the prize pool of $731660 in the guarantee.

Joon sat at the final green table with the second biggest stack at his credit. Defeating Jeff Platt, Eric Baldwin, and ‘bunsamillion’, he slowly moved ahead taking one player at a time. Finally, he swooped the title, a gold bracelet, and a whopping $103127($3000 in bounties included) in his favour.

Nipun Java, a two-time bracelet winner, gave a fierce competition but unfortunately fell short and had to be satisfied with the 103rd rank. He took along $961.30 to his credit.

Other noteworthy mentions are Layne Flack (who took 13th spot and banked $4,486.10), Ryan Riess (came 33rd and took along $2,403.27), Jared Jaffee (stood proudly at 56th and took home $1,495.36), Matt Stout (took 80th for $1,228.33) and Brian Altman (came 86th and earned $1,121.52 to his credit).
