Daily Update: Kocchar, Makkar, Ved, Sood, And Parthasarathi Emerged As Big Players

The Poker Industry witnessed a wonderful Wednesday yesterday. With technical issues at Adda52, PokerBaazi and Spartan Poker, tourneys experienced a considerable traffic inflow.

Spartan Poker

At Spartan Poker, 30 Lac GTD Destiny proved to be the highlight tourney. The tourney pulled-in 758 entries with Rs.5500 buy-ins each and managed to smash the guarantee up to Rs.37.70 lakhs. Armaan Kocchar claimed his throne on the title and proudly took home Rs.9.80 lakhs. Gaurav Sood came a close second and took home Rs.6.03 lakhs.

With Adda52 struggling with technical difficulties, the 4 Lac GTD Destiny Junior viewed 284 entries taking the prize pool to Rs.4.26 lakhs. The exciting change of pace took place at the last minute where the final three players came to an agreement with ‘Fishy28’ taking the first spot along with Rs.81836, ‘Yashi9696’ taking the second spot at Rs.80155 and Ganesh Jrk taking the 3rd place and Rs.68048.

PokerBaazi

July is coming around for PokerBaazi. 2 Crore GTD tourney that went live light night, with 1030 entries in 4 flights only 114 managed to reach the final round. Jayant Makkar emerged as the most prominent stack leader for Day1A with 434000 chips by his side. Vatsal Kumar (won 393,000 chips), Ankit Kapoor (won 386,000 chips), Shawn Jose (won 365,000 chips), and Kartik Ved (won 353,000 chips) became strong players with highest stacks.

Adda52

There were 11 back to back tournaments scheduled for Day 24 of the AOPS Series. But unfortunately, most of them were declared cancelled as the platform ran in some technical difficulties.

However, Rs.5lakhs GTD AOPS Brunch was a successful tourney which received 315 entries. ‘Siddle’ managed to swoop the title and Rs.1.19 lakhs to his credit by defeating Amarjeet Singh(won Rs.82232) in an intense heads-up battle.

PokerStars India

Like the other flagships recently on PokerStars India, the Night on Stars flagship experienced a downward inflow of participants. With only 315 entries, the site was left with an overlay to fill worth Rs.12500 on 8 Lakhs GTD Tourney. The tourney resulted in a tie with both ‘MH1024’ and Shardul Parthasarathi taking home Rs.1.30 lakhs.

Another tourney which managed to grab the attention of 204 participants, was 5 Lakhs GTD Big Bubble Rush. Siddharth Pandey(won Rs. 95942) along with Pranay Chawla(came second and won Rs. 68219) managed to outrun the competition and grab the most significant rewards.
