With Spartan Poker’s GPS, Adda52’s AOPS and PokerBaazi’s PPL running concurrently, Friday witnessed an enormous response from poker enthusiasts. Here’s a quick recap of all the action that unfolded Friday night-
It was a happy Friday for Spartan as the ₹1 Crore GTD The Millionaire flagged off with the first of its four starting flights. Day 1A registered A total of 465 entries were registered on Day 1 out of which only 28 players advanced to Day 2.
‘Tonkaaa’ (435,761), ‘mannu2424’ (298,951) and ‘OrangeZuce’ (255,365) ended up as the chip leader on Day1.
The ₹40 Lakhs GTD GPS#25 The Elite was another marquee event on Friday. The tourney registered 429 entries creating a pool prize of ₹42.90 Lac. The tourney ended up after a three-way deal that saw ‘AthenaVolt’ bagging the title and ₹6.29 Lac prize money. ‘ICMplay’ finished runner-up with ₹6.13 Lac and ‘$ura13’ finished third with ₹6.07 Lac.
Apart from these two events, The ₹12 Lakhs GTD GPS#24 TGIF was won by Rishab ‘NoChanc3’ Malik, who scooped ₹2.75 Lac after a heads-up deal with ‘VSXXX’ who finished runner-up for ₹2 Lac. Malik also ended up as the chip leader on Day 1B of the AOPS Mini Main Event.
Friday was The PPL August Edition opening day. The ₹20 Lakhs GTD PPL#4 DST 7-Max registered 425 entries with ₹5,500 as buy-in. PokerGuru Ambassador Vishal ‘Vishzz’ Bajaj won the title and took home ₹4.27 Lac top prize money while Sumit ‘TheRussian06’ Bajaj finished runner-up for ₹2.99 Lac. The top 54 places got paid.
The PPL#6 ₹10 Lakhs GTD was championed by Akshat ‘takingcuntrol’ Sharma. Sharma took home ₹2.21 Lac after defeating online reg Pranay ‘setmeup’ Chawla (runner up for ₹1.55 Lac) in heads-up battle.
The second starting flight of the ₹1 Crore GTD AOPS Mini Main Event saw a total of 275 entries. Rishab ‘Rish1994’ Malik (304,474) finished as the chip leader at the end of the day, with the 2020 I PC winner Rubin ‘kornkif’ Labroo (261,073), and Paawan ‘fullflush24’ Bansal (248,126) finishing at second and third spot.
The ₹30 Lakhs GTD AOPS Mini High Roller registered 409 entries. Sajjan ‘haitohhai’ Barnwal picked up his third AOPS title in the ongoing tourney for ₹7.44 Lac after beating ‘vinaysk,’ who finished runner-up for ₹4.50 Lac in the heads-up battle.
