Poker Star Muskan Sethi Featured in Amazon Prime Documentary

Poker is mostly seen as a man’s game where women are supposed to look in awe as men play a game of manly poker. Since the industry is changing, what can be as better as watching the female players turning the tables? Presenting to you a documentary that narrates the story of women poker players around the world titled as ‘Poker Queens’. The poker documentary is now available exclusively on Amazon Prime.

As described on the official Poker websites India – “POKER QUEENS highlights the victories and explores the struggles of women in the world of professional poker. Women only make up about 7% of poker players today, and very few succeed as full-time players. Yet some women clearly stand out…for their beauty and skill in the game. This is their story, and their quest for the top prize in the world of poker.”

The documentary featured global names such as Kristen Bicknell, Kathy Liebert, and Jennifer Harmam along with poker star India Muskan Sethi. It was shot in Los Angeles and directed by poker pro Sandra Mohr which also features poker celebrities like Daniel Negreanu, YouTuber Joey Ingram, and mindset coach Elliot Roe. This film is believed to influence more women to take up poker as a sport. Moreover, this film will give you a taste of the hurdle’s women face in this male-dominated gaming arena.

Who is Muskan Sethi?

Muskan Sethi is the Ambassador of Responsible Gaming in India. She was also the Team Mentor for the GPL India team Delhi Diehards in Season 1. Sethi is a popular face in Poker Games in India. She is the first female poker player to receive the Women’s Achiever Award from the President. This Delhi-based girl found her fame when she qualified for the TV show Shark Cage. Since then, Sethi has received an abundance of success and recognition in the game.

Talking about her appearance in Poker Queens, Sethi said, “Being the face of the Indian poker gaming community, I see a huge opportunity for women in India to have an unconventional career in poker as Indian woman are known for breaking the stereotypes and making a mark in male-dominated professions. Poker is just another male-dominated career that is waiting to be explored by women,”

“I am delighted to be part of “Poker Queens” as it focuses on attracting women to the game of poker and highlighting the interesting aspects of pursuing it professionally,” she stated further.
