Sunday Updates: Gupta, Garg, Lakhotia, Kishore G, & Sharma Shines As Winning Stars

Here is the full scoop on what went down and how?

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker recently welcomed IOPC, which is going steady while smashing guarantees on every possible tourney. The first edition of its Millionaire tourney reached its destination last night. The 1.5 Crores GTD IOPC Millionaire United registered 2154 participants with Rs.7700 buy-ins. Manish Lakhotia championed the event and took along Rs.15.75 lakhs. At the final moment, he flipped the tourney by entering a four-way deal with Ramji KishoreG(came 2nd and took home Rs.15.53 lakhs), ‘Rajnicant’(came 3rd and took home Rs.13.44 lakhs) and Nishant Sharma(came 4th and took home Rs.13.19 lakhs).

Another highlight tourney at Spartan Poker was the 50 Lakhs GTD IOPC Sunday Superstack which roped in 1125 players smashing the guarantee to Rs.56.25 lakhs. ‘louis02’ took down the title along with Rs. 10.62 lakhs. Sajal Gupta came close second and banked Rs.6.47 lakhs.

Last night was the most awaited tourney scheduled at the AOPS,i.e., The 3 Crore GTD AOPS Main Event. The tourney fell short of its guaranteed prize pool, and the site had a huge overlay to fill. Nitish Gupta defeated Ashish Garg in an intense heads-up and took home his personal best Rs.50 lakhs. Ashish settled with Rs.32 lakhs to his credit.

Another tourney on the list was the 40 Lakhs GTD AOPS Mega Suits which managed to attract 873 participants with Rs.5500 buy-ins each smashing the guarantee up to Rs.43.65 lakhs. Anujkumar Kodam and Wilson Yomso struck a deal at the final table where Anujkumar banked Rs.8.42 lakhs, and Yomso settled for Rs.8.11 lakhs.

PokerBaazi

PokerBaazi’s PMVS reached its end yesterday. The main event that attracted most eyeballs was the 50 Lakhs GTD PMVS Main Event, which pulled-in 991 entries. The tourney suffered an overlay of Rs.45000. Alok Birewar took down Shagun Jain at an intense heads-up finale. Birewar took home Rs.8.60 lakhs and Jain banked Rs.6.03 lakhs to his credit.

PokerStars India

The site’s weekly special flagship,i.e., Sunday Special Progressive KO, reduced its guaranteed prize pool by five lakhs. Despite such a massive reduction in guarantees and 358 participants, the site was left with an overlay of Rs.2.10 lakhs to fill in. ‘uv_007’ managed to shine at the tourney and added Rs.3.94 lakhs to his bankroll. Kartik Ved came close second and took home Rs.2.31 lakhs.
