Thursday Tourneys: Arsh Grover, Gaurav Sood, Anuj Yadav, Dhirendra Kumar & Shivam Shukla rule the virtual felts

With Spartan Poker’s GPS and PokerStars’ INCOOP running simultaneously, Thursday witnessed an enormous response from poker enthusiasts unlike the first three days of the week. Here’s the full recap of all the action that took place on the starting day of both the tourneys –

The ₹1 Crore GTD Full House started last night with the first of its six starting flights. Day 1A witnessed a total of 92 registrations, including 116 unique entries and 76 re-entries. Twenty-one players made it to Day 2 with Alankar ‘Carrick16’ Choudhary (314,671), ‘Janhavi5685’ (244,204), and Sanish ‘sanish21’ Chhabra (220,239) finishing at the top three stacks positions on Day 1.

The ₹30 Lac GTD Godfather fell short of ₹1.25 Lac after clocking 575 entries. Anonymous user ‘Aj_style19’ came on top of the field and grabbed the lion’s share worth ₹7.05 Lac after a heads up battle with Dhirendra ‘Dhiru006’ Kumar who finished runner up in the tourney for ₹4.11 Lac.

Anshul ‘Anshbag’ Bagai championed the ₹5 Lac GTD Table for 6 for ₹1.39 Lac.

PokerBaazi

The ₹20 Lac GTD Summit created a whopping prize pool of ₹23.1 Lac after 308 registrations. Young Gun Arsh ‘Button_Hai_Bro’ Grover came on top of the field after almost eight hours of intense play to clinch the title. Grover took home ₹5.10 Lac in prize money while Arjunn ‘MaalChaHee’ Agrawal finished runner-up for ₹3.58 Lakhs in the tourney.

Gaurav Sood final tabled two tourneys last night and took home ₹4.40 Lakhs in winnings –

  • 3rd for ₹2.3 Lac in Baazi’s The ₹20 Lac GTD Summit
  • 4th for ₹2.10 Lakhs in Adda52’s Godfather

The ₹5 Lac GTD Thursday MonsterStack was won by ‘sabur’ for ₹1.21 Lac. Sanish ‘Sanish21’ Chhabra’ finished runner-up for ₹84,650.

PokerStars

The inaugural season of the India Championship of Online Poker (INCOOP) kick-started on Thursday night with the ₹30 Lac GTD INCOOP -06 Highroller. However, the tourney experienced an overlay of ₹84,000 after 216 registrations. The 24-year old Anuj ‘brockLesnar95’ Yadav defeated PokerGuru Ambassador Ashish ‘Spewushhhiiiii’ Ahuja to clinch the top prize worth ₹5.89 Lac. Ahuja finished second in the title and took home ₹4.33 Lac.

The ₹6 Lac GTD INCOOP – 08 Classic was another marquee event on Stars last night. The event clocked 272 registrations manage ₹6.80 Lac in the prize pool. ‘sheldon11cooper’ came on top of the field and banked ₹1.31 Lac after a heads-up deal with Shailesh ‘ArithemeticMean’ Patel who finished runner-up for ₹1.30 Lac.

Spartan Poker

The third edition of Spartan Poker’s Grand Poker Series (GPS) kicked off with the ₹25 Lac GTD Grand Ultron. The tourney created a profitable ₹28.04 Lac in prize pool after 438 registrations. Shivam ‘G.O.A.T’ Shukla shipped the title for ₹4.73 Lac after striking a heads-up deal with Madhab ‘madhabpal2017’ Pal who finished runner-up for ₹4.11 Lac.

‘ImLegend’ shipped The ₹10 Lac GTD GPS #4 Monster Stack for ₹2.06 Lac after defeating ‘Roohdaar’ who ended second and banked ₹1.68 Lac.
