Mahima Walia aka ‘mambojojo’ became the first-ever ‘The Millionaire United’ champion to win the ₹5.34 Lakhs first-place cash prize. She eliminated ‘sheep1214’ who settled for ₹3.32 Lakhs as a second prize. Her husband Anirban Das, also showed an impressive performance at the final table, winning an amount of ₹1.74 Lakhs.
Spartan Poker bagged the spotlight yesterday with yet another event. ‘gogobhai’ emerged as a champion of the event collecting ₹1.60 Lakhs as first prize money. He defeated Guruprasad Gupta aka ‘DONKAKING’ who settled as a runner-up for ₹1.48 Lakhs followed by ‘Shefking’ who won at third place taking home an amount of ₹1.26 Lakhs. Guruprasad Gupta also won Afternoon Showdown – Monster Stack ₹5 Lakhs GTD and took the first prize of ₹1.12 Lakhs. He also came seventh in the Mega Stack for ₹86,118.
PokerBaazi also commenced the ₹15 Lakhs GTD event with a recorded entry of 566 players and ₹3,500 buy-in. the top 72 players were guaranteed a payout in a share of ₹19.81 Lakhs prize pool. Ankit Kapoor aka ‘helter_skelter’ grabbed the title-winning an amount of ₹3.74 Lakhs first-place cash prize. He defeated ‘sharmak1393’ who settled for ₹2.62 Lakhs in heads-up.
PokerStars India kicked-off its Sixth Sense ₹10 Lakhs GTD where Sahil Mahboobani aka ‘inaboobham’ became the champion of the night topping a 341-strong entry field. She eliminated PokerGuru Ambassador Kartik Ved aka ‘TheInternetKid’ to win ₹1.79 Lakhs title. Kartik settled as a Runner-up winning an amount of ₹1.27 Lakhs.
Adda 52 was also in the limelight with their ₹7.5 Lakhs GTD event that recorded 332 players. The top 34 places were guaranteed a fixed share from the ₹10.62 Lakhs prize pool. ‘thepokerfaceblr’ eliminated ‘dashamipoojitha23’ and won ₹2.91 Lakhs and ₹1.77 Lakhs respectively.
