Monday’s have always been dull in comparison to the rest of the days in the week and most of the tourneys suffered an overlay yesterday. Here is a glance at what went down in the virtual felts on Monday night –
The ₹12 Lakhs GTD Recharge was the marquee event on Spartan. Despite registering 556 entries the event suffered an overlay of ₹88,000. ‘AK47_TLB’ won the title and took home ₹2.23 Lakhs as the first-place prize money. The user finished third in Spartan Poker’s ₹4.50 Lakhs GTD Sunday Monster Stack for ₹54,517 on August 2. ‘NepotismkiMKB’ finished runner-up for ₹1.59 Lakhs while ‘KaalaPatthar’ ended up on 3rd place and took home ₹1.11 Lakhs.
Another signature event on Monday was the ₹6 Lakhs GTD The Flash. Site regular ‘ganuka’ won the top prize and took home ₹1.26 Lakhs. Well-known reg Anirudh ‘flash’ Reddy finished runner upand took home ₹80,154.
The ₹10 Lakhs GTD AOPS Big Stack Turbo was the marquee event on Monday at Adda52. The tourney witnessed a total of 449 registrations, creating a prize pool of ₹10.10 Lakhs. Anonymous user ‘samreddy1’ won ₹2.47 Lakhs after beating Sandhya ‘2sdownpower’ Singh in the heads-up battle. Sandhya finished on second position and took home ₹1.46 Lakhs.
The ₹5 Lakhs GTD AOPS Table suffered a sizeable overlay of Rs 37,500 as the ₹2,750 buy-in event could only manage 185 entries. Aman ‘karmapoker’ Parakh turned out winner and took home ₹1.40 Lakhs while Devrat ‘Vickypune’ Singh finished runner-up for ₹84,000.
The ₹25 Lakhs GTD PPL#23 The Bout 8-Max was the signature event of PPL. The event registered 369 entries and suffered an overlay of ₹6.55 Lakhs. ‘naijjaking’ clinched the title for and scooped ₹5.25 Lakhs as the top prize. Rugal ‘Smikijoejr’ Advani finished second and took home Rs 3.67 Lakhs.
The ₹7 Lakhs GTD Battle Royale was the only marquee event on PokerStars India on Monday. The tournament suffered an overlay by ₹1.65 Lakhs. Mystery user ‘theghoti’ clinched the title and took home ₹1.60 Lakhs after defeating Sandy ‘Ziigmunddd’ Lamba in the heads-up battle. Lamba took finished second and took home ₹88,070 in prize money.
