Sunday Marquee Updates: Kripalani, Ray, Cherurku, Koneru Emerged As The Biggest Winners

The weekend is the time when you get to witness the best action in poker town. And this weekend night had back to back tourneys lined up distributing most significant rewards. Let’s recap:

PokerBaazi

The long-awaited finale of the Game Changer 3.0 finally took place. Siddharth Kripalani managed to claim his proud throne on the title along with Rs.40.02 lakhs. The tourney received a record-breaking 4486 entries smashing the guarantee to Rs.2.24 crores.

The other tourney that managed to grab the attention of 674 participants was 25 Lakhs GTD BSS SuperStack making the prize pool of Rs.33.70 lakhs. Ayan Ray flipped the tourney in his favour by defeating Rahul Pruthi(won Rs.4.36 lakhs) at the final’s table and banked Rs. 6.22 lakhs.

Spartan Poker

Spartan Poker hosted its Sunday Flagship SuperStack last night pulling in 804 entries, smashing the guaranteed prize money from Rs.35 lakhs to Rs.40.20 lakhs. ‘RoyalBlush’ managed to leave his mark and took home Rs.7.71 lakhs while ‘skypo’ came close second and took home Rs.4.84 lakhs.

Adda52

Adda52 also hosted its 50 lakhs GTD Mega Suits tourney which garnered 1050 entries across three flights which managed to take the guarantee up to Rs.52.50 lakhs. Abhijit Cheruku swooped the title taking down Deepak Raina for Rs.10 lakhs. Raina took home Rs.7.13 lakhs.

Another highlight tourney at Adda52 last night was Millions which promised Rs.25 lakhs guarantee. The USP of this tourney was that it had the highest prized buy-ins previous night which was, Rs.11000. The tourney roped in 285 participants collecting Rs.28.50 lakhs prize money. Avinash Koneru took the cake along with Rs.7.29 lakhs defeating Sahil Chuttani(Won Rs.4.34 lakhs) in an intense heads-up.

PokerStars India

PokerStars India hosted its 20 lakhs GTD Sunday Special Progressive KO. The tourney fell short of an overlay, creating an Rs.5000 deficit. Competing against 399 players on the field, ‘yash1805’ took the title along with Rs. 3.86 lakhs after settling a three-way deal with ‘041195’(came 2nd and took home Rs.1.78 lakhs) and Pavan Kiran B (came 3rd and banked Rs.1.61 lakhs).

Another marquee on the schedule was The Sunday Highroller where interestingly the guarantee was reduced from 20 lakhs to 15 lakhs. This tourney successfully pulled in 162 entries. Chirag Sodha(won Rs.3.05 lakhs)emerged as the winner defeating Abhishek Gubba(came 2nd and took home Rs.2.68 lakhs) at the final green table.
