WSOP Online 2020: Allen Chang Champions Event #5 For $161,286

WSOP.com hosted its 5th event today,i.e.,$1000 NLH Freezeout and handed out its 5th gold bracelet. Allen Chang shined championing the event and banking $161286.44 to his account. He shared the final’s table with Philip Yeh who unfortunately lost the heads-up battle.

This event was among the first of the series with the non-rebuy clause. It recorded 854 players on the field, chiming in $1000 buy-in, making the guarantee of $811300. Of which top 126 players were rewarded with $1622600. The event was limited to players residing in Nevada and New Jersey and still pulled-in several top players from the poker industry.

Among the elite poker players, Nipun Java with two gold bracelets listed to his credit tried hard to score the third one. But unfortunately, he fell short of achieving his target.

Final Table Results

  1. Allen Chang: Had 3,702,560 chips and banked $161,286.
  2. Felipe Leme: Had 3,060,150 chips and took home $99,708.77
  3. Philip Yeh – Had 2,448,340 chips and won $69,771.80

Some notable mentions are Ryan Laplante (came 11th and took home $8,680.91), Michael Gagliano (took the 12thspot and banked $8,680.91), Aaron Massey (stood proudly at 13th taking home $6,896.05), Stephen Jones (came 37th taking back $3,164.07), Louis Lynch (came 50th and won $2,758.42), Melisa Singh (took 75th rank for $1,947.12), and Katie Lindsay (came 113th and won $1,622.60).
