Thursday Toppers: Bansal Banks ₹24.69 Lakhs by Championing IOPC High Roller Event

Thursday had a lot in store for us poker lovers. From Spartan Poker’s IOPC, PokerBaazi’s IMPS, PokerStars India’s Micro Millions to Adda52’s APF, everyone kept their best foot forward.

Let’s recap:

Spartan Poker

With IOPC in its full form at Spartan Poker, last night it had one of its high rewarding tourneys,i.e., the 1 crore GTD IOPC Event #54 High Roller with Rs.55000 buy-ins. The tourney was scheduled at 9 pm and roped in 233 entries comfortably sailing past the advertised guarantee and reaching the Rs.1.11 crore mark. The final table witnessed a nail biter heads-up between Raghav Bansal and ‘Boller’(became runner-up and took along Rs.16.66 lakhs) where Raghav emerged as champion taking home the biggest slice of cake and Rs.24.69 lakhs.

Another tourney that grabbed 1150 poker enthusiasts on board was the 40 Lakhs GTD IOPC #5 Ultron with Rs.4400 buy-ins. Running past the hurdles and tough competitors Kunal Patni championed the event and added Rs.8.71 lakhs to his bankroll. ‘Tiger10’ came in close second and took home Rs.5.30 lakhs.

PokerBaazi

The highlight tourney at PokerBaazi was the 20 lakhs GTD The Summit which had its brisk start at 8 pm. Anirudh Reddy competed against 281 players, to capture his throne on the title. Shagun Jain became the runner up and added Rs.3.27 lakhs to his bankroll whereas our champion Reddy took along Rs.4.66 lakhs.

Adda52

On Thursday Adda52 hosted its weekly special Godfather tourney with 30 lakhs GTD. The tourney registered 612 entries taking the guaranteed prize pool to Rs.30.60 lakhs. The final moment saw a neck to neck heads-up battle between Arjanveer Singh(came 2nd and took home Rs.4.19 lakhs) and Sanket Arora where the latter defeated the former to claim the title and bank Rs.7.19 lakhs.

PokerStars India

Last night the highlight tourney on the schedule at PokerStars India was the 15 lakhs GTD Highroller. The tourney garnered 209 entries and yet fell short of its advertised guarantee by Rs.37000. Vivek Singh championed the event leaving behind Aditya Degala and other competitors. Vivek walked away with Rs.2.94 lakhs while Aditya had to be satisfied with Rs.2.16 lakhs.
