By Nimisha Popat

It was a slow Tuesday in the digital doors of poker with very few tourneys on the schedule. Lets recap who captured which title and take a glance at their winning rewards:

Spartan Poker

The highest rewarding tourney, the 20 Lakhs GTD Mega Stack yesterday was hosted by Spartan Poker. With 708 participants on board chipping in Rs.3300 buy-ins each, the break-even point was crossed comfortably and the final guaranteed prize pool comprised Rs.21.41 lakhs. After nearly 7 hours of grinding, Aman Parakh shined as champion and added Rs.4.10 lakhs to his current bankroll. Shashank Jain came in a close second and had to settle for Rs.2.58 lakhs.

Another tourney that attracted 799 poker enthusiasts was the 7.5 lakhs GTD Race. Running past the field of competitors, ‘anand85’ flipped the tourney in his favour by entering a five-way deal with ‘Hiteshh’(2nd and took home Rs.91360), Pravin Jain(3rd rank and took home Rs.87837), Ritesh Joshi(4th and took along Rs.70486) and ‘chotunitkat’(5th and took along Rs.58784) and walking away with Rs.1.01 lakhs.

Ashwin Vijay consistently succeeded last night in both the tourneys and took home Rs.46940 by standing at 8th spot in the Mega Stack flagship and Rs.24900 by taking the 7th spot in The Race tourney.

PokerBaazi

The 15 lakhs GTD Endeavour tourney last night roped in 406 entries with Rs.3850 buy-ins and yet still fell prey to Rs.79000 overlay. Surbhit Grover took down the marquee by defeating ‘karan23’in a heads-up chop where the former addedRs. 3.15lakhs to his bankroll and the latter took home Rs.2.21 lakhs.

Adda52

With its 7.5 lakhs GTD Hitman tourney, 206 people hopped on board. Uday Moola championed the flagship leaving behind Rubin Labroo where the former took home Rs.2.09 lakhs, and the latter had to be satisfied with Rs.1.22 lakhs to his credit.

PokerStars India

PokerStars India is having a hard time dealing with consistent overlays at every tourney. Despite lowering the bar of advertised guarantee by 1 lakh, the site still suffered a shortfall of Rs.97000 in its Sixth Sense tourney with 7 lakhs GTD. The top four finalists, i.e., ‘max2172’, Vaibhav Bhatia, Ranjeet Negi, and ‘Ricky000029$$$’ settled for a fair cash reward deal and hustled for the title where each of them took home Rs.88474 and ‘max2172’ taking down the title.

Another tourney which could not avert the overlay was the 5 lakhs GTD Super Tuesday which roped in 162 entries yet still fell short of Rs.95000 from the advertised guarantee. Arjunn Agrawal and Vikram Mishra were the final finishers competing to claim the title. Eventually, Agrawal won and took home Rs.1.01 lakhs, and Mishra came in a close second and took home Rs.75363.
