Wednesday turned out to be a fruitful one in the poker universe. With all major poker sites getting good traffic and hosting big rewarding tourneys, here are full details on what went down in the digital poker world.
Spartan Poker
On day 7 of the IOPC series at Spartan Poker, the tourney that was the talk of the town was the 50 lakhs GTD IOPC #46 Destiny. Registering 1259 entries with Rs.5500 buy-ins, the guaranteed prize pool comfortably sailed past its advertised limits up to Rs.62.95 lakhs. Defeating others, Deepak Bothra scored his personal best by taking the title down along with Rs.12.09 lakhs check. Bothra flipped the tourney by entering a three-way deal with ‘5BETNinja’(came second and took home Rs.10.63 lakhs) and Armitrage’(came third and took home Rs.8.12 lakhs).
The 10 lakhs GTD IOPC #47 was on the schedule next which roped in 1005 poker enthusiasts making the guaranteed prize pool of Rs.15.07 lakhs.’ SidSparta21’(took home Rs.2.87 lakhs) managed to shine defeating Sumit Sapra(came second and took along Rs.1.80 lakhs) for his first IOPC title.
Another fruitful tourney on the list was the 10 Lakhs GTD Destiny IOPC which garnered 621 entries to build a framework of Rs.12.42 lakhs in the guaranteed prize pool. Anirudh Reddy took down the title by defeating Vikranth Varma(came 2nd and took home Rs.1.97 lakhs) in a neck to neck heads-up battle adding Rs.3.21 lakhs to his current bankroll.
PokerBaazi
Last night the poker giant hosted a 10 lakh GTD Pride tourney which attracted 316 entries which left an overlay of Rs.52000 for the site to fill in. Chirag Sodha flipped the tourney defeating Ujjwal Narwal(came second and won Rs.1.55 lakhs) for Rs.2.21 lakhs.
Adda52
Adda52 hosted 12.5 lakhs GTD Maverick last night which registered 649 entries smashing the guarantee up to Rs. 14.76 lakhs. At the final instant Himanshu Bagdwal(won Rs.3.06 lakhs) emerged as the champion leaving behind his fierce competitors. ‘Misagh’ came close second taking home Rs.2.78 lakhs to his credit.
PokerStars India
As it has been the trend of overlays lately at PokerStars India, last night’s 11 lakhs GTD Micro Millions 32 tourney was no different. Despite pulling in 400 entries, the site suffered a massive overlay of Rs. 1 lakhs. ‘sheldon11cooper’ championed the event defeating Ujjwal Narwal in an intense heads-up. ‘sheldon11cooper’ added Rs.2.26 lakhs to his bankroll. In contrast, Narwal had to be satisfied with Rs.1.65 lakhs.
The next tourney which continued with the overlay trend was 5 Lakhs GTD Micro Millions-34 Big Bubble Rush. The tourney pulled in 239 entries and still suffered an overlay of Rs.22000. Dinesh Kumar took the most significant piece of the cake along with Rs.1.12 lakhs outlasting Shashank Desai(became runner-up and took home Rs.50791) at the final table.
