With the current pandemic on the rise, WSOP decided to host an online finale circuit from 3 to 14 June 2020. The series will gift 13 seats of the Global Casino Championship to the top twelve winners of different events, and the final place would be awarded to the Casino Champ of the WSOP series.
The first event $100000 GTD NLH Online Finale Circuit Kick-Off had a splendid start with ‘YoungGunz21’ bagging $42,528.
The next consecutive event, $100000 GTD NLH Online Finale Circuit 2x Re-Entry, required a mandatory $320 buy-in. With the hugely positive response from 397 unique players and 218 re-buys, the prize money skyrocketed to $184500.
He is competing in the field to bag the title, Soheb Porbandarwala, an Indian-origin player who goes by the alias ‘tommyconway6’ managed to win $46125 to his credit. In the past events, Porbandarwala has managed to be a four-time WSOPC ring winner and collected total lifetime earnings of about $924121.
The final players who emerged as big winners of the night were Jeremy Kottler($25830), Ian Steinman($11992), Matthew Larkin($10147), Joseph Cheong($4242), Brittney Stout ($2480), Anthony Zinno ($2214), Anthony Maio($1476), Andrew Donabedian($793), Lauren Roberts($774), and Scott Stewart ($756).
Whereas some elite players who failed to leave a mark this time were Ryan Dodd, Mark Liedtke, Yong Keun Kwon, Justin Lapka and William Corvino.
